YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND

Summer, spring, winter and fall...
All you gotta do is call...
And I’ll be there...
Yes, I will...

The Most High God is saying this same thing to you and to me.
“Call on me and I will answer you
and show you great and marvellous things
the things you do not know
(the things that are fenced and hidden).” Jeremiah 33:3.

Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend
When people can be so co-oh-old...

Jesus tells His followers,
“I will no longer call you servants, but friends.
You are my friends if you do whatever I command you." John 15:15.

Jesus is calling you a friend, not an enemy, and as a friend, you shall know what He does, because you are called “the friend of God” just like our father Abraham. He was called “friend” because He did the will of God. And God revealed things to him, those fenced and hidden things.

Before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah He shared what He was about to do with His friend, Abraham. God shared and Abraham got before him and interceded for the salvation of others.

If God could find 50 persons in those evil cities who did right, would He spare those cities? Yes, God would. But did Abraham stop there? No, he kept on, and as he prayed he grew bolder, and the number got smaller. Would God spare those cities if He could find just 10 souls doing good instead of evil? “Yes,” God answered, “I will.” In the end, God only found one righteous man, Abraham’s cousin, Lot. Those cities were destroyed, but Lot was saved.

God is doing the same in our day in a world where evil has joined hands across the globe. He is showing us, like He showed Abraham, what He is doing, because we are like Abraham, we are his friends.

“For the servant does not know what His Lord does:
but I have called you friends;
for all things that I have heard of my Father
I have made known to you.”

The devil is not your friend. He is a liar and a murderer from the beginning. His children are not your friends.

They’ll hurt you...
Yes, and desert you...
They’ll steal your soul if you let them...
but don’t you let them.

“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophies and empty deception,
according to the tradition of men,
according to the elementary principles of the world,
rather than according to Christ
For in Him all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily.” Colossians 2:8-9.

Men will try, they’ll try to steal your soul. But like the song says--Don’t you let them!

Don’t let them steal what Jesus laid down His life to give you, by the crafty deceit of men who are bound and determined to follow satan right to the bitter end on His journey to the centre of the earth.

Don’t you let them steal your soul. Choose Jesus instead.

My own heart is settled. I have chosen Jesus: Israel’s Yeshua Ha-Massiach, the one who died for my Salvation, and was raised up on the third day for my justification just like He said He would be.

In a world now being judged by plagues greater than the plagues seen in Egypt, because Jesus condemned sin in the flesh, I walk free and healed and forgiven and changed by the power of the God who was dead but now is alive forever more.

I walk free. What’s more, I am no longer condemned. “For there is therefore NOW no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.
For the spirit of the law of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2.

I walk free because I turned and walked away from the sin in the flesh Jesus condemned.
“For what the law could not do,
in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh,
and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh.” Romans 8:3.

I walked free because I believe in the only one who has the words of eternal life.
“He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I in him...
This is the bread which came down from heaven
not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead...”

Manna was not the true bread. Manna only fed the body, not the spirit or the soul. Manna only fed part of the man, not the whole man. And those fathers Jesus is referring to are the ones who died in unbelief and their carcasses dropped in the wilderness. They died eternally as all unbelievers do, while believers live eternally.

Jesus is that true bread, the living Word, and when we eat of this bread, we shall never die.

I stay free because I eat of the only bread that gives eternal life. I eat the Word. Daily. I dwell in Him and He in me because I live in the spirit (the heart), and in His Word.
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
you may ask what you wish and it shall happen to you.” John 15:7.

I turned to Yeshua, the one I call Jesus, the only life giver, and was born again according to His word.

The very instant I turned and believed, I became a new creation on the inside in Christ Jesus, “old things have passed away
behold, all things have become new.”

I was bound by demons. His words, “NOW, GET OUT!” spoken out of my mouth, chased them away. “IN MY NAME,” Jesus said, “you shall cast out demons.” He said it and He was right.

My body was broken. My mind was paralyzed by fear. I didn’t have long to live.

Sin was the problem. And what was that sin? The sin was unbelief and I kept talking it. From sun-up to sundown, all I did was confess how sick I was, how much I hurt, and how much I couldn’t do.

I confessed lack and I had lack.

It was not me who was condemned. It was the sin that Jesus condemned. And if the sin is condemned so is the sickness. Take a closer look at Isaiah 53. Jesus became sin. He was also made sick.

This is why Jesus often dealt with the sin problem first.

He dealt with the sick spirit. First. And this puzzled everyone.

He dealt with the sin problem in the man with palsy.

The man’s friends believed and their faith was unmiss-able.They believed so much that when they could not get to Jesus through the door of the house where he was teaching, they cut a hole in the roof and lowered their friend down right in front of Jesus.

Jesus looked at the man. He saw their faith, and He said, “Your sins are forgiven.”

What in the world was He doing? Everyone in the house was speechless, but oh, those wheels were turning!

Who can say, “Your sins are forgiven?” That’s not the way it’s done. If the body is sick, you don’t say, “Your sins are forgiven.” You deal with the body. Isn’t that the way it is done? But this Yeshua, He was doing it differently. He was saying, “Your sins are forgiven.”

Man treats the body, and sometimes the body gets better. God treats the whole person. God treats the sin problem inside the spirit and the whole man is healed. Every time.

God treats the sin problem, the unbelief, and He treats it with His Word. Yeshua is that Word, and that Word is here with us now.

The first thing God had me do was to get into His Word. Every day I searched it and spoke it, and faith bloomed in me like a flower.

Finally, the day came when I stopped speaking fear and doubt and unbelief. On that day, I turned to Him and said, “You are the only truth. I give you everything I am and everything I have to give...

I give you even the sicknesses and diseases along with every single pill I take. I even give you the thyroxine the doctors say I will die without...

My life is in your hands.”

Then I turned to follow only Him no matter where He leads.

I believed. I said. I took action.

At the moment I spoke these words to the Lord Jesus on that night of 2 October 2012, Yeshua cleansed me on the inside. Like that man with palsy, my sins were forgiven and the man was made whole.

In 2012, I was made whole because like that man with palsy and like many others in Bible days, I finally believed Jesus to be the complete Saviour that He is, the only Saviour who heals from the inside and makes me whole.

Like He’d done when I was 8 years and first came to Him: my sins were forgiven.

I went to bed in 2012, and not long after, the only Saviour who can heal, came and loosed my mind and my body.

Heal the spirit and get rid of that condemned sin, and you will walk free, just like me. It will happen the very moment you believe.

Healing begins in the spirit.

You can pull up those weeds all you want, but if you don’t kill them at the roots, they’ll come right back again.

Man is skimming the surface. He’s treating the mind and the body cause that’s all he sees.

But Jesus? Jesus does it differently. Jesus has a better way. He strikes at the root of the problem. He heals the spirit first, and He does this through His words.

“I don’t hear Him,” you say. “I’ve been waiting for Him to heal me.”

Then listen. I’ve got news for you, and here it is: He’s been waiting for you.

So listen and hear His Words for you. I’m speaking His Words right now.

Now, you receive them. Go ahead, take them as your own, just like I did.

Take them and say them, and faith will bloom in you like a flower. When it does, go to Yeshua, like I did. Turn from unbelief and follow Him, the only one with the words of eternal life.

Take them and stand fast. Stand and don’t let anyone steal your soul.

“Stand...Stand FAST (immovable) in the liberty wherein Christ Jesus has set you free.”

In a world where “they’ll hurt you...
yes, and desert you...
they’ll steal your soul if you let them...
oh yeah, but don’t you let them...”

In a world filled with destroyers and deserters and soul-thieves, a Saviour waits to heal you.

Ain’t it good to know, oh yeah... so won’t you let Him?

The Saviour waits for you, and He says, “You just call out my name...

JESUS!

And I’ll be there...
Yes, I will...
You’ve got a friend...
You’ve got a friend...
Ain’t it good to know...
You’ve got a friend...

JESUS!

Just before Jesus died for you He said,
“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13.

Ain’t it good to know...
You’ve got a friend.

JESUS!
