Good Morning from England! May the power of the Lord Jesus rest upon you. Be that transformer. Come on, come on. All you need to do is believe. He does the rest. Be Blessed no matter what the weather is in your life. yours, PK x

Contrary to popular belief you don’t have to think every thought that comes into your mind.

Hit the reject button.

Say, “Nope. I’m not thinking that. It’s harmful.”

If it’s worry, or anxiety, it’s fear. Yep, that’s right. It’s fear, and it’ll gnaw on you like a rat’s teeth does a cord, until it’s gnawed straight through any peace of mind you may have had. After that, like the rat it is, it’ll set about destroying your physical health.

Treat your mind like a t.v. set. You’ve got and on and off switch. You’re in control of the controller. The devil may attack with those thoughts, but you’re the one with the on and off switch. Learn how to use ‘em.

Turn those harmful, gnawing thoughts off, and turn God’s Word on.

God’s Word is the power. We can fill our heads with it, and it won’t help us, except perhaps to give us that “how nice” feeling that sugar plums dancing in our heads give.

We want an actively operating power IN us. That’s the goal. In order to have this, we don’t treat God’s Word like the words of man.

The words of man we simply read. And maybe, just maybe, discuss them. Then we throw them away as useless. That’s it. That’s the end of it. I’ve never ever seen or heard of any words of man that can save, heal, or transform a life. Nor have I ever seen the words of man describe hundreds of scientific facts, and future events accurately. I haven’t. Have you?

Yet, God’s Word does all this and more.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 tells us the difference between God’s Word and man’s words. Seeing this difference was my “get-out-of-jail-free” card, and it will be yours too. Paul worded this verse like a prayer, and like him, I pray it for each and every one of you constantly.

“For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the words of mere man, but for what it really is, THE WORD OF GOD...”

Now, really listen with both ears to this last part,

You who believe any ol’ thing? Not quite. The Bible’s much more specific that that.

God’s Word is actively operating in each of you who confess Lord Jesus, and believe on Him as your Salvation. His Word is actively operating in you when you start seeing it as more than just pretty words.

Paul prays, Father, that they see your Word for what it really is...for what it really is...for what it REALLY IS...

The Word of God, not the words of man.

Then, and only then, does it actively operate in you--when you believe in Jesus and His power.

The NKJV Bible says it this way,
“...but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

Let’s unmask “effectually” and see what it really looks like. In the Greek it is “energeo”.

Energeo. ENERGY. Think of unseen energy surging through a transformer. Just one fraction of a short burst of the power in that transformer is enough to knock your socks off, straighten your hair, and iron the wrinkles out of your clothes.

This power is inside you, inside your earthen vessel. Actually, a greater power is inside you, a power so great that the power in a transformer of earthly electricity pales in comparison. This power is that same mighty power that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead. (Ephesians 1: 19-20) And it’s the same strength of the might of Him that made us alive along with Him, and seated us in the heavenlies, united with Christ (Ephesians 2)

You are NOT the power. You are the transformer that holds the power, and releases it through the Word spoken from your mouth by faith.

I love what Peter says about this power in 2 Peter 1:3 because it ties right in with what God wants you to know.
“According to His divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto LIFE and godliness through the knowledge of Him (Jesus) that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

Power is dunamis. Dunamis is inherent power, power we inherited when Jesus bought us Salvation on the cross. He died to give this to us so that we need never to be powerless no matter how powerless we feel, and no matter what we face.

And it is more than Him just helping us cope with sickness or disease or help us in being strong in our SELF. God’s power is an active force, and that power Peter explains, increases through the knowledge of Him, Jesus--His Word IN us.

Dunamis. Does anyone recognise that word yet? You will when I’m done.

Dunamis is ENERGY, the power that won’t quit. Dunamis is the power to reproduce itself, like a DYNAMO.

ENERGY. DYNAMO. The power of God that is within YOU-- Does that sound like something that’s there just to comfort and console you while you look to man for the solutions?

No way. It wasn’t in Bible days and it isn’t in our day.

It’s the power of God that is IN us who believe.

This power begins as a small seed or spark in you the moment you turn to Jesus and become a believer. And it increases through the knowledge of all that Jesus is IN you and all you have IN HIM.

And believe me, Jesus IS everything.

He is eternal life. He is wisdom. He is righteousness. He is Sanctification. He is Redemption.

Jesus is everything. I’ve come to know this, and I want you to know it too.

His power is IN us from the first moment we are reborn according to Romans 10:9-10. But in order for His power to go to work in our lives, we must treat His Word for what it is, in truth, and grab hold of it boldly with both hands.

Chris has a solar radio. After it’s sat on the windowsill soaking up the rays of the sun, it sounds great for awhile with a nice strong signal, clear reception, and plenty of juice flowing through it. But keep it out of the sun for awhile, and you can probably just guess what happens. The signals scramble, the reception fades, the power weakens.

That’s what we’re like, a solar radio. But our sun is not a yellow orb in the sky. Our Son is the Son of God and His power source is IN His Word, for He IS the Word. As long as we do as Peter says, and increase that power, the dunamis, the power of God, that’s inside us THROUGH the knowledge of who we are IN Christ Jesus, and who He is IN us, multiplies like a dynamo, and gives us ALL the things that pertain to LIFE and godliness.

When we are newly charged up on the Word, this dynamic power can work through us. But here’s the secret, don’t unplug from the Source of this power. Always make sure you get a full charge, and your signal will remain strong, and your reception clear, and you’ll have plenty of power within you. Then you’ll begin reaching for the Word instead of that aspirin.

Grab hold of the Word the same way Joshua grabbed hold of it,
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein [on it] day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for THEN thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and THEN thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)

Grab it the way David grabbed it,
“Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly (morally wrong), nor stand in the way of sinners (don’t mimic sinners, don’t do what they do), nor sit in the seat of the scornful (those who mock God’s Word by saying the opposite,
for God is not mocked).
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and he meditates in the law day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bring forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalm 1:1-3)

Grab it the way the Old Testament prophets grabbed it. Peter tells us “they enquired and searched diligently”. (1 Peter 1:10-12)

Grab it the way the fellow saints in the book of Acts grabbed it,
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind...”

But they didn’t stop there.

“and [they] searched the scriptures DAILY, whether those things (Paul had preached) were so.”

In Thessalonica the people were treating the Word of God like it was the words of man, just empty, useless, powerless words. This is why Paul prayed they would see it for what it really is: God’s own Word, and the power within them. But these other saints they were more noble. They really grabbed hold of the Word eagerly, with both hands, not by treating it like any other book, or scanning it’s pages once in a while, but Acts 12:11 says they “searched the scriptures daily.”

And what was the result of their searching?
“Therefore many of them believed.”

As you receive it with an open mind and search it’s pages daily, you will also see that what I am preaching and teaching is true. It is the Word of God. Then you will have the same result they did. You will believe that the entire Word of God, every single promise He ever made, and all He did for you all the cross is true, it is so.

Grab it the way Paul instructed Timothy to grab it,
“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

After Paul told Timothy what to grab, he then instructed him what not to grab.
“But shun (avoid) profane and vain (empty, useless) babblings for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

Oops! Another UN-word. UN-righteousness. UN-godliness.

Un-righteous things are UN-godly things or things God would never do.

If you follow Jesus and confess Him as Lord, then God is your Father, and you are to say and do the same things He does.

UN-godly things are weights--worries, cares of the world, friendships with those in the world, and those bad habits. All of these things lead to sin. (Hebrews 12:1-3) When the day of the Lord comes, they will keep you from rising up to meet Jesus in the clouds. It’ll be as if you’ve tied a bunch of lead balloons onto your feet. This is why we are instructed to throw these weights aside.

So use that on and off switch, and turn them off, and turn on the power of God through the Word. Search it’s pages actively. Get it down in your heart, and it will become that powerfully active, living force operating within you.

Be that transformer for the dynamic power, dunamis, of God, that power to reproduce, multiply itself in your life and the lives of many others.

For this reason I constantly thank God that when you received the Word of God which you heard from me, you accept it not as the word of mere man, but for what it really is; THE WORD OF GOD...
the power to transform your life, like a dynamo, when you believe.

So go on now, grab hold of it with both hands. Meditate on it. Day and night. Search it’s pages. Daily. It’s truth. And it’s your inheritance.

Grab it, meditate on it, search it, believe it, speak it, live it. THEN you shall make your way prosperous, and THEN you shall have good success, no matter what trouble or sickness or temptation the devil throws your way.

Speak it often for it is not the word of mere man. It’s the Word of God actively operating in you who believe.
