DIGESTIBLE TEACHING

                                           "GOD-PLEASER FAITH"

For many of us,even those of us who grew up in Church,Bible faith is something we were never taught. My own concept of faith was  not Bible faith,as you can see in my  continued testimonies. Yet, from the book of Genesis on through Revelations, faith is an unavoidable fact. God created the heavens and the earth. By faith. The Old Testament heroes became heros. By faith. The Prophets prophesied. By faith. Jesus lived, died, and lives again. By faith. The disciples turned Apostles became mighty ministers of the Gospel. By faith. And we are to live this exact same way. By faith. Faith,Bible faith, is vital and necessary to us. That we have  faith is a command. How do I know? There are many scriptures I could choose in order to show you this truth, but this,to me,is the main one,so this is the one I will offer:

Hebrews 11:6~
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for He that cometh to God must believe that He is,and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

We see here that we cannot please Him unless we come to Him in faith. Always and All the time. Not just part of the time. Since we cannot please God without faith,it's important we learn what faith is,and how to get it.So how does this verse describe faith?

•    must believe that God IS.
•    Must believe God rewards anyone who diligently(makes every effort to) seeks Him.

Do you think it pleases God if I ask for something in prayer, according to His promises, then turn around and say,”I asked God for that, but I'm not sure I will get it,”when His word tells me specifically to ask for anything in prayer and He WILL give it? Is this faith? I've been guilty of this in the past many times. So don't think I'm pointing a finger at you by saying it. And don't beat yourself over the head with a crowbar if you have ever said this,or anything similar. We all walk by the amount of light we have. But,it's now time for us to become bathed in the light of God's Word, and to apply every principle to our lives, becoming doers of the entire Word of God,everything, and not just a scripture here and there. But learning is a process not an all at once thing. So don't expect “instant gratification.” That term is of the world,of which satan is god,not of God. God does not use it. His Word teaches  the opposite. Sometimes we see the results of faith instantly, other times we must stand in faith and endure before we see them. God stands and endures, and so must we. So let's trade world-speak for God-speak. Especially in the area of faith.

I like the examples God uses as He trains me to teach others. I'll share one about the learning to walk in God's with God. He says,”It's like taking a bath. We don't just jump into a bath headfirst,do we? We dip the toes then the foot;the other foot, followed by the body. Slowly we move, gaining confidence as we go.”

We learn God's Word and how to apply each principle to our lives in this same way. Then, begin. Not many and all at once. Just one thing at a time. Slowly and deliberately. Not all at once. Not instantly. Just a little at a time. By way of training.  Like taking a bath, becoming bathed in the light of God's Word is  a slow and deliberate process. But the payoff is many times greater.

So,first of all, what exactly is faith? Let me show you.

Hebrews 12:1~
“Now faith is the substance of hope, the evidence of things not seen.”

If you're anything like me,this scripture, the Bible's main definition of faith, makes faith sound a bit confusing. With me,it was,”What's that supposed to mean?” But now I understand the definition of faith, and I will show you how. But first let's  discover what is meant by the words,”substance”,and “evidence”.

*   “Substance”: meaning;body;verification;bears out;confirms;proves.
*   “Evidence”: proof;affirmation;demonstration;shows.

Now we'll take the actual verse, and break it down. It's what God teaches us to do in His Word.(I'll give teachings on this subject,as it is once more a vital ingredient to walking successfully in God's Word,in this world.) And it is something God instilled in me  during and just after He beautifully healed-delivered and set me free last year. It is confession mixed with meditation. I do this out loud as well as in my head. And,wow! It is so effective. Do this and the Word of God comes alive.

“Faith is the substance of hope, the evidence of things not seen.”

We'll take just one line or sentence at a time,or several words at a time.

“Faith is the substance of hope.” Faith is the substance, body, the proof of my hope. Faith is the body of my hope.. It gives body to my hope.... Faith proves my hope.

So Faith proves my hope. It is the proof. The proof of my hope.

Take a look at the next line: “the substance of things not seen.” We see that the definition of “evidence” is similar to the word,”substance”. Substance proves. Evidence is the proof. So I'll show you something which really made this verse clear to me.

“...the evidence of things not seen.” Faith is the  evidence...Faith is the proof. Faith is the proof of things unseen... Faith is the substance. Faith is the substance. Faith is the substance of things not seen.

This is what opened up the meaning of this verse to me. Keep on confessing. Faith is the substance of my hope. Faith is the proof of things not seen. It proves what I do not yet see, until I see it. Faith is my proof that what I have asked for is mine, before I see it or feel it. Before it becomes a physical reality.

So,I'll tie it all together with a scripture I confess often and daily.

 2 Corinthians 5:7~
“Consider not the things that are seen, but the things that are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are not seen are eternal.”

Consider not or look not at the things which are seen. The word,”consider”means to think;believe;hold to be(true),examine closely. Here we are told to “not consider”. Don't think about it. Don't believe it. Don't hold it to be(true). Don't examine closely.

Why not?

“...for the things which are seen are temporal.” “temporal”: earthly;worldly;temporary;changeable. This tells us that things we see with our physical  eyes, and feel with our feelings,or even touch are worldly,of the world. World-speak. Changeable.

Changeable by what?

The things which are not seen. Why? “...because the things which are not seen are eternal.”

What are these eternal things? God is eternal. His Word is eternal. Faith is eternal. And eternal things change the things we can see, feel,or touch.

A few minutes ago,I watched  a little sparrow feeding on meal worms I had sprinkled upon the grass for all the birds God brings to our garden. I was reminded of the concern He has for the sparrow and what a testament this is of the Father's great love for each of us. Jesus said it:

Luke 12:6-7~
“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.”

The key words here are “more” and “many”. God knows when a sparrow is sold,or dies. He never forgets it. He made sparrows and He cares about them. But,you are more valuable to God than many sparrows. More valuable.  He even knows how many hairs you have on your head, and He knows each time you lose one. Put your trust in him,the one who loves you so much. Place your trust in Him,the God who said,”I love you” when He sent His Son to die in your place, and you will walk in faith. Feed on His Word;get to know Him and His promises to you better, and you will soar in faith. Act on your faith, take action;be  a doer of the Word, not a hearer only, and you will soar more!

Faith is:
    Believe.
    Say.
    Receive.
    Act

PROPHECY ON faith~

The Spirit of God to Dr. Hagin: “Now give heed unto that which is spoken. The natural man and the natural mind would say,; 'I don't understand it.' You don't have to understand it. You don't have to understand, says the Lord. But, you do have to act upon My Word, and whether you understand it or not,if you'll just believe it and act upon it,then the Word will become real to you,and you shall walk with Me!”

What do we do? What the Bible says.

“...we walk by faith not by sight.”

Climb in that tub of faith today. Not headfirst. One toe at a time. Be a faith-walker,and become a God-Pleaser.
