~Welcome to Christ's Throne Room:The Approach
When you aproach the Throne of God, through Christ Jesus the Lord ,remember these tips:
Remember that Jesus means every word He has ever spoken to us while in heaven or on the earth...
All prayer is part of the approach to the Throne of God. No one's prayer is casual or trivial, but instead an amazing priveledge of the child of God,us sons and daughters, and prayer moves the very glory of God,and causes Him to work great feats upon the earth,in our lives, and those ones we love,or in the lives of enemies, even. He condescends to permit your approach out of love for you,due to your faith, and by way of His grace and mercy toward us.
God tells us this in Psalms 2:8-9;" Ask of Me,and I will give you the heathen(sinner) for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possesion. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel."
And He also tells us how to pray here: "Thus saith the Lord the God,the Holy One of Jesus, and His maker,ASK(the all important word!) Me(HIM!) of things to come concerning My sons, and concerning the work of My hands COMMAND ME(Command,He says!). I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I ,even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host I commanded." Isaiah 45:11-12.
God also promises this when we dare to "ask": "Call unto Me,and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Isaiah 45:11.
Be importune like the Syrophonecian woman in Mark 7:24-30,when she approached Jesus. She was stopped initially in her approaches to Christ by the information that He would not see anyone. She was denied His presence, and then when in His presence was treated, she was treated with seemingly indifference, with the chill of silence and unconcern. Yet, she pressed and approached, and the pressure and approach were repulsed by the stern and crushing statement that He was not sent to minister to her people but to the lost sheep of Israel, that she was reprobated from His mission and power.
She was then further humiliated by being called a "dog",which is a common term for a gentile, yet she accepted this and she overcame it,as well. Jesus was won over by her humble, dautless, invincible importunity. The Son of God,pleased, surprised, overpowered by her inconquerable persistence, said this to her," O Woman, great is thy faith;be it unto thee even as thou wilt."(Matther 15:28)
He speaks to us today,as we are to stand ready all the time, praying with all manner of prayer, all the time. "Ask",He says to us;"Command Me",but pray in order to move God to move situations,to create new oppotunities for you and loved ones, to bring salvation to the heathen, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.
"But without faith,it is impossible to please Him,for anyone who comes to God must believe that He is,and that He is a rewarder of those who come to Him,and of them who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]." Hebrews 11:6.
"Let us draw near unto the throne of Grace(the throne of God's unmerited favour to sinners),that you may receive mercy[for our failures]and find grace(unmerited, unearned favour of God)to help in good time, in your hour of need[to appropriate help,well-timed help, coming just wen you need it]." Hebrews 4:16.
Charles Spurgeon said this about prayer~ "We must remember that the goal of prayer is the ear of God. Unless that is gained, the prayer has utterly failed. The uttering of it may have kindled devotional feelings in our minds, the hearing of it may have comforted and strengthed the hearts of those with whom we prayed, but if the prayer has not gained the heart of God,it has failed in it's essential purpose."
When we acquire the habit of prayer,we enter into a new atmosphere. "Do you expect to go to heaven?" asked someone of a devout Scotsman. "Why,Sir,I live there," was the quaint and unexpected reply... Acquire the habit of prayer, and touch heaven, experience heaven in our lives...x
P R A Y E R P R O M I S E S:
"Nothing is impossible,only believe..."
"All things are possible,only believe..."
"Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them."
"Have faith in God(constantly),Have the faith of God,Have the God-Kind of faith,And Jesus saith unto you,You can say to this mountain,Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea,and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that whatsoever things you SAY shall come to pass, you shall have whatsoever you SAY."
"Abide in Me,and I in you,and whatsoever you ask of the Father in My name, you shall receive, that your joy may be full."
